ISLAMIC INFORMATION CENTRE, CHITARPUR (IIC - CHITARPUR) strives for propagation, presentation, appreciation and understanding of ISLAM among Non-Muslims and removing mis-conception among less aware Muslim. IIC focuses specially on for Islam and Comparative religions.
IIC Chitarpur being restricted to the path of SALAF. The HOLY QURAN and the SAHIH HADITH (The Authentic) are the only ultimate resources of this Organization.
IIC Chitarpur was domiciliated on the 1st Jan 2000. The IICC being run by a trust named as IICC WELFARE AND EDUCATIONAL TRUST which has been registered by the State Government.
IIC Chitarpur is located at the heart of the city which is easily accessible for people, IIC Chitarpur has auditorium for regular programs with very soon separate seating arrangements for ladies, total seating capacity of auditorium is 40. A regular program is organized every Sunday between 10:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m besides other unscheduled programs. It also has a ladies Circle. IIC Chitarpur has an office with staff to look after administration and day to day activities.
IIC Chitarpur also has a library, which have books of all the major religions viz Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism, Confucius & Taoism etc in different languages such as English, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Marathi, Sanskrit and Bengali etc.
A student of comparative religion can get all the material required for studies under one roof. Many Muslim & Non-Muslim brothers visit the library for reference on Islam & Comparative religion. Apart from books library also boasts of audio & video material. IIC Chitarpur conducts social & religious training programs for people of all age. IIC Chitarpur has audiences of all walks of life.
